新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大を受けて、3-6月に在留期間満了を迎える外国人の在留期間更新や、変更申請を3か月間猶予されると発表がありました。（入局管理局にも確認済です。）

これまでは、3月中に在留期間満了となる人に１か月の猶予期間を設けていましたが、対象者の猶予期間が拡大されました。

観光やビジネスの「短期滞在」で在留する人も対象となります。

Due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19),  foreigners whose status of residence will expire in from March to June 2020 are given three months extention to renew their period of stay or apply for a change of status.

(A one-month grace period was set for those whose period expired in March 2020 and now the scope is expanded.)

Temporary visitor is also eligible.
