Extension of validity of COE
Immigration Services Agency of Japan has announced the extension of validity of COE today, June 22, 2022, to accommodate those who have delayed their entry into Japan due to the spread of Covid-19.
The period for which a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is considered valid has been extended as follows:
- If the date of issue of COE is between January 1, 2020, and January 31, 2022
→The certificate of eligibility will be treated as valid until October 31, 2022. - The date of issue of COE is from February 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022.
→It will be treated as valid for “6 months” from the date of issue.

COEの有効期限が延長されます
出入国在留管理庁は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大の影響により日本への入国時期が遅れている方にへの対応として在留資格認定証明書の有効期間の新たな延長を、本日2022年6月22日に公表しました。
有効とみなす期間
- 作成日が2020年1月1日～2022年4月30日
→ 2022年10月31日まで - 作成日が2022年5月1日～2022年7月31日
→作成日から6か月間有効
