4月21日付の東京新聞によると、政府は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大を防ぐための水際対策を徹底するため4月末までとしていた外国人に対する査証（ビザ）の効力やビザ免除を停止する措置を、１カ月程度延長することに決めたようです。

Visa suspension extended until the end of May for corona measures

According to the Tokyo Shimbun on April 21, the Japanese government will suspend visa and visa exemption for foreigners for one more month (e.g. until end May) in order to thoroughly implement border measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections.
